Wylie ISD Enhances Game Day Experience
Wylie ISD has implemented some additional fan-friendly services designed to enhance the game day experience. These services will be available for all remaining Friday night varsity football games at Wylie ISD Stadium.
Fans of both schools can save time and money by purchasing their home game tickets on-line. Online General Admission prices are $4.50 for students and $6.50 for adults (including the $1.50 per ticket transaction fee). All General Admission tickets at the gate are $7.00. That is a savings of up to $2.50 per ticket. And you get to bypass the lines at the ticket booth. Tickets can be printed at home or downloaded to a smart phone and scanned at the gate. Once you have your tickets, getting to the stadium will be even easier. The district is providing shuttle service to and from every varsity football game. Details on the shuttle service include:
- Parking and shuttle service is free
- Parking will be in the staff lot behind Cooper Junior High/Draper Intermediate School
- Buses will leave/return from the back lot at Cooper/Draper
- Two buses will run beginning at 6:00 PM until shortly after kickoff
- Stadium drop off/pick up will be on the home team side, in front of the main gate, just west of the ticket office
- Buses will start returning after half time, as needed, and run until after the game
- FOR WHS-WEHS GAME ONLY: There will be two routes. Two buses will drop off/pick up on the home side and two buses will drop off/pick up on the visitor side
Fans are encouraged to use the parking lots at Wylie High School and the shuttle lots at Cooper/Draper and not park in the surrounding businesses.
“We are fortunate to have a very strong fan base here in Wylie and we hope these additional services we allow even more fans to attend our games,” said Kyle Craighead, Wylie ISD Athletic Director. “Our goal is to get them into the stadium as effortlessly as possible. There is still lots of football left to be played and by offering on-line ticketing and shuttle service we hope the entire community will be a part of the excitement.”
Also, this Friday, October 3, as part of the WHS-WEHS game, the district will celebrate senior citizens with a Gold Card Tailgate. Gold Card holders are invited to pick up a complimentary pre-game meal as they enter the stadium. Look for the Gold Card banner on both sides of the stadium. Gates open at 6:00 PM, kick off is 7:30.
